The program service area is Grays Harbor County and part of Jefferson County.
Applicant must reside in the service area.
An eligible family unit must include at least one Quinault Tribal Member or Alaska Native and reside within the Quinault Reservation boundaries or at least one Quinault Tribal Member and reside within the service area.
Applications and forms must be filled out completely and supporting documents provided. For assistance with filling out applications or forms, please contact any TANF Office and someone from the TANF Team will assist you.
Applications and forms do not need documents to be uploaded at time of completing them online. Documents can be emailed to TANF@quinault.org or brought in to any TANF Office location; however, applications and forms will not be processed until all supporting documents are provided.
Forms are for those already approved for services.
APPLICATIONS
TANF services are available for eligible families with children, those who are working to reunify with their children or a pregnant adult woman.
TANF services are available for eligible families who have had children placed with them or for children that they are otherwise acting as a caregiver. Services are also available to a one-parent family, where the adult receives SSI and their biological or adopted children are in their care.
Diversion Services are available to pregnant women and eligible families who have biological or adopted children living with them at least 51% of the time and are in need of a one-time financial assistance payment and do not otherwise want or need to open a case.
Non-Custodial Parent Services are available for eligible parents that owe the QIN TANF Program child support funds. Services are employment-related support services that will assist in obtaining or retaining employment and paying for or continuing to pay for child support.
FORMS
The Monthly Eligibility Report is required to redetermine eligibility monthly for all open cases. Each family unit is required to submit a report for a cash grant to be calculated. If the report is not completed by the posted due date, a late grant will be issued. If one is not submitted by the last day of the month, a grant will not be issued and the case will be closed.
For the form to be considered complete, all questions must be answered and supporting documents submitted.
This form can also be used to report any and all changes, within 10 business days of such changes that may affect eligibility. Facts reported may result in benefits increasing, decreasing or ending.
The Support Service Request Form is used when requesting basic and emergent support services as listed in the TANF Manual. This form is for all open cases and for those in compliance with case requirements.
The Incentive Request Form is used when requesting incentives as listed in the TANF Manual. This form is for all open cases.
The Transitional Services Recertification Form is used by those family units receiving Transitional Services. This form is required when services are requested by a Support Service Request and if it has been longer than 90 days since the last recertification.
